Drowning again
Have you ever been left by the one you love? Your emotions running amok as you try to salvage what little bit of hope you have for the world. Its at times like that you feel as if you’re drowning in your pain. As if waves of sadness come crashing down upon you and only you. The world seems to have lost its shine and everything just seems dull.
Drowning again in your love!
You need time to get back ashore so you can once again walk amongst everyone else as a functional being. But for now, you’re stuck in this wide ocean of pain and loneliness. That is what this piece is about. That moment where your heart feels as if it will never be whole again. And for the unlucky ones amongst us, it will just be like you’re drowning again. Because it’s not the first time this has happened. Love is a game where only the lucky ones get what they want the way they want it. But for most of us, it’s a barren desert or a wide ocean made out of tears you never wanted to cry. So we are either parched or drowning again in a sea of missed chances and lost romances.
This spoken word piece was based on T-Pain – Drowning again. That song has so much pain and emotion in it that it bring the listener with him to drown in those waves. I wanted to capture that emotion and bring it to life in a different manner. I wanted to use my Spoken Word poetry as an outlet for the pain we all know and go through.
