Chris Brown is accused of Rape in Paris
Chris Brown has found himself in some new trouble.
Apparently the singer was arrested in Paris and released because he was accused of aggravated rape and drug violations, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office. A source stated “the investigation is not closed at this stage and continues under the authority of the Parquet of Paris.”
It seems that Brown isn’t facing any charges though and his attorney has denied all allegations. Chris Brown went on Instagram to say that these claims are false and denies the allegations saying “This B!tch Lyin’.” And “I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!” Chris and his attorney said they are planning on filing a defamation lawsuit against their accuser in retaliation.
This of course isn’t the first time Brown has found himself in hot water. His most publicized run in with the law was his arrest in 2009 for his vicious beating of his then girlfriend Rihanna. It’s worth mentioning that Rihanna went on Oprah and said she forgave Chris and that he “Made a mistake because he needed help.”
Chris Brown came onto the scene in 2005 at the age of 16 and a lot of people considered him the new Michael Jackson. But with his assault case, the public’s perception of him was changed for the worse and it has continued to haunt him for a long time.
And his beef with other recording artists and his time in rehab as well as his return to jail for violating probation. It was then reported that Chris Brown has bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and drug use. A letter from the facility stated “Mr. Brown will also require close supervision by his treating physician in order to ensure his bipolar mental health condition remains stable. It is not uncommon for patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar II to use substances to self-medicate their biomedical mood swings and trauma triggers.”
Some of Brown’s other run ins with the law are: He was accused of threatening a woman with a gun in his home in 2016. His ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, got a restraining order against him in 2017, saying that he threatened. In May of 2018 an unknown woman supposedly filed a civil lawsuit against Brown stating that she was sexually assaulted at the singers home by one of his friends. And in July he was arrested in Florida, for an outstanding felony arrest warrant which he got after punching a photographer at a Tampa nightclub in 2017.
Brown decided to open up on some of his issues in the 2016 film “Welcome to my life: The official Chris Brown Documentary.” In which he said: “I went from being on top of the world, No. 1 songs, being kind of like America’s sweetheart to being Public Enemy No. 1.”
And for some people, that label never went away. What do you think of Chris Brown? Let me know in the comments.
