The Release: Do me like that

I still don’t really have anything to say with regards to blogging, so I will just give you another song to keep you over until I finally experience something fun and exciting. Until that time I hope you guys enjoy the songs.

However even though I don’t have anything special to say, I have to mention that I am OFFICIALLY living in Japan. It’s a real life now, not the thing I really love but more the thing I have to do. Ill explain that a bit more in detail some time later.

For now I will give you the following song: Do me like that

Ok so this record I did for my cousin who wanted to do like a really big record with a bunch of dudes. And I was about to leave to New Zealand, so I had to drop my verse really quick before I left. But then I listened to it a few times and I felt like I could do a better job, so I was gonna rewrite my verse and rerecord it to make it sound a bit better. But I would do that AFTER I got back from New Zealand. And lets just say right now Im in Japan and I STILL haven’t done that record.

The song is basically about how people do you a certain way, and you feel or think you don’t deserve that. That just fits my way of thinking like a mofo, so I said hell yes and wrote a quick 16. Here is what came out of it. The real record with all the people on it HAS already been released, but my verse was never added due to the fact that I was supposed to rerecord it.

Yeah I know, corny right … but yeah whatever here is another Vino Venitas rap song that I have had for some time. And remember this is my old stuff I no longer rap, Im just your regular friendly neighborhood poet.

Here is this weeks post, and yes its a goodie. I like this song cause well its dark and twisted and its right up my alley. Its one of the oldest ones I have. So here you go a Vino Venitas original.

Ok so this one song came into being by a really fun route. I had recorded some stuff, and lets just say people did NOT like it. Hey I didnt like it either, so I just took me a small hiatus. Dont get me wrong the stuff I recorded was lyrically on point, but lets just say the beat and I had different opinions. But then my homey Spit Venom was like … YO I wanna do a record jump on it with me. So he basically took me, a rapper that had left the game back into the booth. And Im not dumb nor arrogant so I know that most people didnt want to work with me, due to my abilities. But he was like lets go, and till this day Im thankfull to for that. So Spit Thanks man.

But this is the record that came into being after he called me. I figured that I shouldnt do too much and just keep it simple and Vino. And so I did, and this is what came out of me. Real gritty and real raw, no punchlines just straight killing people … yeah LOVE doing that. But if you read my stories you already knew that right. So yeah there you go, that is all I have to say this week.

This is a good one, I have more than a few bad ones which I will eventually throw up in the air. But I will start with the good ones, and this is one of them. This one came into being due to my family being filled with geniuses and musical peeps. So me and my cousin decided to record a song together, and I just went over to his place. Recorded it, wrote the hook on the spot, and this is what came to be.

Good music makes itself.

Ok so unlike some people I am proud of most of the stuff I have done in my past. Because believe it or not it got me to where I am right now. And in the past the boy used to be a rapper, most people already knew that. But some people never heard it before, and those people never heard a song of yours truly. So I decided to release the few songs I have, because let’s face it … I am not going to do anything with them songs anymore. Might as well just share them with the few people that come on my site. I won’t say too much, but just give you the song and a little back story on how it came to be.

I was I think 17 or 18 and I met this producer who liked my voice and rap style. And you have to keep in mind in those days me received a compliment was rare so that made me feel good. And he was like before we get to the real rap stuff, let’s just make a hit record we can get spins with. I was like … really??? But he broke it down for me, and let’s just say I had faith in him. So he let me hear this beat and he was like can you write to this?

Lol even in those days, I was Vino Venitas … meaning I can write to anything. If its good or not is to be decided at a later point in time. But nevertheless I wrote to it and we recorded it on the spot. In his room, with a mic standing in the middle of it. On a computer that seemed to crash whenever too much stuff was going on at the same time. With another dude sitting in the corner listening to us talk and work. So I laid down the 2 verses, I wrote ON THE SPOT, and he sent it to his cousin who is/was a singer and the next day it came back to me, like you heard it. Nothing was added, that was the end of it.

LOL when I read it back, it just sounds like a real ghetto ass song, but yeah it is what is it, this is the first release of the Vino Venitas music collection.
