FOX News kills Ruth Bader Ginsburg and she cameos in the LEGO movie
Fox decided to start their day in an amazing fashion by declaring Ruth Bader Ginsburg dead.
Fox News decided to kill Ginsburg by airing a graphic of her with the dates 1933 to 2019, which implies that the Supreme Court Justice died. However the 85 year old is still alive and kicking although she did have surgery in December for early stage lung cancer.
Eventually someone noticed it after which the co-host Steve issued an apology saying “A technical error in the control room triggered a graphic of Ruth Bader Ginsburg with a date on it,” he continued by saying “We don’t want to make it seem anything other than that was a mistake. It was an accident.”
A Fox News spokesperson later released a statement saying.”This was a technical error that emanated from the graphics team,” The question is, why would that graphic exist in the first place?
Ginsburg became the second woman to be appointed to the United States Supreme Court in 1933. And at 85 years old, Justice Ginsburg is also the oldest serving judge on the Supreme Court bench. Recently however she has become somewhat of a pop culture phenomenon. With a recent documentary about her and a biopic called On the Basis of Sex. Her fame has earned her the title of “Notorious RBG”.
And from recent reports it seems that she will make a cameo in the upcoming Lego Movie 2 as a lego minifigure with a gavel and robe. It seems the movie wont be using her real voice but she has given the filmmakers permission to use her likeness.
The producers of the movie had the following to say about her character “trying to think of people who should be immortalised in Lego and who seem fun at weddings. And we were thinking, ‘who’s the last person you would think to see in a Lego film as a minifig?’ – Ruth Bader Ginsburg!”
I have to say that I love the idea of using a supreme court justice as a lego figure. Makes a lot more sense and could have a very positive impact. Good on Lego.
